Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development reviews its vision during a global tourism forum in China

The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKIA) participated in the “World Tourism Organization and the Federation of Pacific Travel Agencies” hosted by the People’s Republic of China under the theme “The Future of Tourism – The Road to 2030”. Haitham Matar, Chief Executive Officer of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, reviewed the vision of sustainable tourism that Ras Al Khaimah is seeking to achieve, in addition to its business strategy and latest developments in its agenda. In cooperation with Ras Al Khaimah Waste Management Corporation, the Authority has set guidelines for the recycling of hotels in the Emirate as part of an initiative across the emirate to reduce the amount of waste that will end up in landfills by 75 per cent by 2021.
