‘Say’ says: ‘We create memory, not experience’

With more than 12 years of experience in hospitality and travel industry, I sensed the problem of standardised service and qualities in hotels and home stays in North East India. Hence in March 2018, I along with Mr. Jaydeep Bose, Co-Founder, started a distinctive concept, ‘SayTrip Hospitality’ fondly known as ‘Say’ targeting all types of accommodations, hotels, home stay as primary category of execution.

Working as foremost member of hotel team, ‘Say’ ensures 360 degree support regarding marketing, sales and operations.

We are operational in Gangtok, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Shillong, Guwahati, Pelling. We are opening soon in Siliguri , Kolkata, Bhubaneswar. Say Homes are present in Batasia Loop, Sherse, Lamahatta, Algarah, Ramdhura, Old Silk Route, Tinchuley, 15th Mile, Kaluk, Kaziranga, Cherrapunjee.

Keeping religious consideration in mind, we allow neither pork nor beef in the hotels. We have introduced a new concept of placing a library inside a restaurant. We have also introduced kid’s zone. The unique aspect of our services is that the travellers will get same menu and same rate in Darjeeling and Gangtok. We are deeply involved in day to day operations.

Our team of experienced professionals curates the best itinerary with highly competitive rates offering packages based on FIT, honeymoon, corporate, students’ group and so on.

‘Say Rooms’ is the fastest growing aggregator focusing on transforming and managing hotels. We give assurance of best services and great feedback from guest, help in growing businesses from online and offline channels. We have brought deluxe service in budget category rates with our quality services.

‘Say Homes’ is East India’s first Home Stay aggregator, presently with 100 rooms. The ROI is higher than hotels. It focuses on transforming and managing home stays in hills and rural areas, with traditional and local essence, away from hustle and bustle of city life.

Say Rooms manages the entire operations of a hotel along with sales, marketing and staff training.

Our competitors are confined only on managing sales and marketing but none has control over the service quality involvements in day to day operations of a property. We however manage the tenderest points of a hotel, the operations which may make or break the future of the hotel.

The first property started in Gangtok with 16 rooms and 100 per cent management control and revenue sharing. At the time of handing over the property’s annual average occupancy, was 30 per cent. With the refurbishment offer and other interventions of Say Trip it increased to 60 per cent. Presently, the property is highly sought after by the clients due to VFM and quality of services.

After this we never looked back and have now 250 + rooms across North East India. We are training the hotel staff in best hospitality practises with local language support and have retained more than 80 per cent of the original staff strength. Besides, this our entire sales process is derived from B2B offline and online channels with margin of 8 per cent after accounting all the costs.

We have introduced ‘Say’ App for the B2C clients and B2B travel trade partners so that they can access our properties online, check pictures and amenities and make the booking. With an Omni Channel presence in Offline and Online we can cater to a wider audience and can address issues quickly even if Internet is not available.

As we progress we look forward to raise funds for expansion and use it judiciously and ensure people coming to North East who would never have to compromise on quality stay without hitting their budgets.
